What’s Happening?

Throughout the course of the year, the Selinsgrove Area Alumni Association actively participates in a number of events. As we garner more interest and participation from new and current members, we hope to grow this list with each passing year. Below is an overview of our annual events.

In late May, the Alumni Association presents graduating seniors with their own Seal Stress Reliever. Members of our group also address the seniors during the awards ceremony encouraging them to become a member of the Alumni Association as well as what it means to be a “Seal” for life.

Slow Bike Race

Typically held in June, our Slow Bike Race occurs in downtown Selinsgrove on Tenth Street. The race is held in conjunction with the Rotary’s Mallet Madness Tournament and will take place at noon during the Tournament break.

Public Awareness

The Alumni Association also participates in a number of events throughout the course of the year in order to garner public awareness. Each year the Association will attend the Selinsgrove Street Fair in late September to promote membership, awareness, and the annual banquet.

Distinguished Alumnus Award

During the homecoming football game, the Association presents our well-deserved Distinguished Alumnus Award. We also recognize this individual at our annual banquet. Learn more about this award.

Annual Fall Banquet

Our Annual Banquet is usually held in October. Each year a new theme is adopted and the event is centered around that concept.

Alumni Association Golf Tournament

Monday, September 19 marks the date of our inaugural SAHS Golf Tournament. Susquehanna Valley Country Club has been selected as the site for the day. Many of the details have to be worked out, but a motivated group of individuals are planning an event which should be a lot of fun as well as raise monies for the Seals Legacy Fund”. Mark your calendars.
