We are thrilled to announce Cynthia A. Fisher, Class of 1979 and Cathy Keiser, Class of 1977 as our 2019 recipients.

Cynthia A. Fisher is an American businesswoman, entrepreneur, and corporate board director. She was a pioneer in the stem cell industry, founding the cord blood stem cell banking company ViaCord, Inc. She served as Director & Vice President, Human Resources of the Boston Beer Co. Inc. She is Founder and Managing Director of WaterRev, LLC, an investment firm focused on companies with novel technologies enabling sustainable practices of water use. She is a member of the BOD of Easterly Government Properties, Inc. a real estate investment trust engaging in acquisition, development, and management of commercial properties leased to US Government agencies. Cynthia cofounded FitMoney, Inc., appointed by Speaker of the House Paul Ryan to the Health information Technology Advisory Committee and most recently appointed to the BOD of the National Park Foundation. Cynthia is married to Jim Koch, Founder of the Boston Beer Company and resides in Newton, Massachusetts.

Cathy Keiser served as the head coach of the SAHS Field Hockey team for 34 seasons, from 1984 through 2017. During her tenure as head coach, she became only the 12th high school field hockey coach in US history to achieve over 600 wins finishing her career with 619. Cathy’s teams won 25 district titles, competed in the PIAA State Championships 28 seasons where they were quarter finalists 20 times, semi finalists 3 times, and finalists 1 time. Cathy’s coaching enabled many of her players to earn all-state honors and play field hockey in college at all levels. In addition to the on-field honors earned by her players, the academic performance may be more outstanding than their athletic achievements. During her tenure, her players were named to the PA All-Academic Team a total of 41 times and her teams won the coveted PA All-Academic Field Hockey Team Award (team GPA 92% or above) over 20 times. Cathy resides in Selinsgrove with her husband Ben.

Both Cynthia and Cathy will be acknowledged together as part of our fall activities to include recognition prior to the Homecoming Court presentation at the Homecoming Football game Friday, October 11 and as part of our Annual Banquet to be held in the Middle School on Saturday, October 26.
